The class of 2020 deserves to have their prom, due to the fact that their final moments of childhood are being wasted away because of COVID-19. Whether or not the dance is held on the day planned (postponing would be a great option as well), prom should not be cancelled whatsoever. Many of the students have already made plans and purchases regarding the dance, and by canceling it, it places a financial and emotional burden upon them. This is one of the last chances for these kids to be with their peers and enjoy their final moments of high school, and by cancelling it, they would have almost nothing left. We are all going to celebrate prom anyways, and by keeping the dance on it will create a safer environment for the students. Students could also be tested before entering if necessary in order to be cautious of others
