Seniors of Ed W. Clark High School believe our administration should give a second thought about jumping to a decision on having a virtual/ drive thru graduation because they want to get the “issue” resolved as quickly and easy as possible. We have worked for 12 years for the celebrations that come with senior year. With multiple events already being taken away, we hope that our staff and faculty will recognize the time and effort we have put into working for our diploma and would be willing to put in the work to organize a more traditional approach to graduation even if it means having to wait till July or early August. We understand that we will more than likely still have to follow certain restrictions, there have been numerous ideas presented by students that would help us to follow guideline, whether that be multiple graduations or only having a few guests to bring. I personally know many students who are the first in their family to graduate. This is an extremely important accomplishment for every senior, and we respectfully believe it should be celebrated as such. We ask that you help us bring this to our boards attention and give us the privilege of walking across stage to receive our diplomas for our families, ourselves, and our communities that have helped us to graduate.
