After recent events, it is clear that there is somewhat of a loophole in The Conservative Party’s complaints process which has allowed an individual to continue behaving inappropriately, completely unchallenged, despite official complaints being made against them. 

The failure in effectively dealing with this case, which has been going on for 7 years, has lead to questions as to whether the party’s complaints process is fit for purpose.

This is deeply worrying and must be challenged. Safeguarding should be always be a top priority for the party and CCHQ have a duty of care. Therefore, it is time for CCHQ to urgently review their complaints process to ensure the continued well-being of all members.
