CBSE CLASS 12 APPLIED MATHS 2026 DISCREPANCIES AND GRACE MARKS

CBSE CLASS 12 APPLIED MATHS 2026 DISCREPANCIES AND GRACE MARKS
The Issue
The CBSE class 12 applied mathematics (subject code: 241) question paper for the academic year 2025-26 has many discrepancies which are listed below.
Technical Observations & Syllabus Mismatches:
Question No. Nature of Issue Specific Details
Q. 19 Out of Syllabus This question involves Inverse Trigonometry, which is not part of the Applied Mathematics (241) curriculum.
Q.28 (b) this question involvespecial integral which is not also the part of the Applied Mathematics (241) curriculum.
Q. 35 Out of Syllabus The question covers the Returns concept (Financial Mathematics), which is currently excluded from the syllabus.
Q. 37(ii) Out of Syllabus Calculation of Average Change in sales is not included in the prescribed syllabus for this academic year.
Q. 34(b) Incomplete Data The question relates to Poisson Distribution, but the necessary exponential values (e^ {-(lambdas) required to solve the problem were not provided.
These discrepancies may significantly impact the performance and time management of students who followed the official NCERT/CBSE Applied Mathematics curriculum.
We require grace marks for all mentioned questions along with a clarification for the QR code redirecting to a rickroll video on YouTube.
The incompetence of CBSE shouldn’t affect our dreams, goals and targets. These marks affect our scores in exams such as IPMAT and our own mental health.
As a student, I am very discouraged at the moment and my prep for the next exams have taken a toll.
