This petition aims to have CBS replace Alex Kurtzman with Seth MacFarlane as the head of the Star Trek universe. Alex Kurtzman has little respect for the wealth of information and progress that the Star Trek universe has built up over more than 50 years. He repeatedly ignores what the fans want to see for Star Trek. 

Seth MacFarlane on the other hand is a lifelong Trekker who has shown that he can create a compelling story, that respectfully and meaningfully looks at some of the problems ailing our modern world. His work on the Orville is a testament to his creative genius and respect for fans. 

CBS has lost a lot of Star Trek fans over their recent handling of the franchise, which is really a sad development considering how much Star Trek fans care about the franchise. Fans feel that their input is ignored, and have no faith that the individuals running the show can bring new life to the show they care so much about. 

An easy remedy to this situation is to have Seth MacFarlane replace Alex Kurtzman. The fans trust MacFarlane, he truly cares about the franchise, the fans, and providing a quality and relevant story. With MacFarlane at the helm, Star Trek will be able to achieve its full potential, realize Gene Roddenberry’s vision, and add to its already robust fan base.
