We Need Better Licensed Star Trek Cosplay Uniforms

We Need Better Licensed Star Trek Cosplay Uniforms
The Issue
Dear CBS Licensing,
You are doing your loyal Star Trek fans a disservice. As you are crafting a quality new series, Discovery, you have excited many of your core Trekkies. One way in which we love to celebrate our fondness for this series and the franchise as whole is to cosplay. Right now, Discovery is fresh and new and we want to wear the uniforms we see on our favorite new show.
But you are doing your loyal fans a disservice. Your officially licensed cosplay uniforms are hampering us from attaining any merchandise. Yes, we want to spend our hard-earned money on your officially license cosplay; but you are not making it available for us.
Example Number One: In the official Star Trek store (shop.startrek.com) you currently offer four variations of the Discovery uniform: a gold command uniform (one for men and one for women) and a silver sciences uniform (again one for each sex). Your store lists these items as a "uniform." Your photo shows a person wearing a complete uniform consisting of a top and a bottom; however, you have to read the fine print to realize there is a catch. Your "uniform" is only the top; pants are not included. And you do not sell the pants! As the top and bottom are a coordinated set, how can you sell one without the other? And how is a uniform just a top? We don't recall seeing any Discovery crew going without pants while on duty. This top will cost you $149.99.
Example Number Two: Anovos (anovos.com) provides your second official outlet for Discovery uniforms, but they are entirely another set of issues. First, they open a tiny window to pre-order the cosplay uniforms; and if you miss it, you are most likely out of luck. As such, they currently do not have any uniforms available for purchase. Second, it literally takes Anovos months and months and months to complete your order. People often wait over a year for product. Third, Anovos provides little to no feedback as to when you can expect to receive your order. Fourth, you have to pay up front; and they are not cheap. Their uniform - which does include pants - will cost you $500 to $550. As of this time, nobody who has pre-ordered a uniform has received one, nor do they know when to expect it. (As an aside, Anovos offered the Captain uniform variant. Why is that option not available in your official store?)
CBS, as you can see your only two officially licensed stores do not make it easy for fans to buy officially licensed products. Who wants an official top without the matching bottoms? Who wants to pre-order an item for hundreds of dollars, get no updates, and have no idea when they will receive it? You literally cannot buy a complete officially licenses Discovery uniform at this time.
CBS, can you please modify your officially licensed cosplay in any or all of the following ways:
1) Add additional vendors to sell officially licensed product.
2) Sell complete uniform sets for Discovery - tops and bottoms.
3) Sell complete uniform sets at a reasonable price.
4) Sell complete uniform sets and have a reasonable delivery window with definitive delivery dates.
5) Sell more complete uniform options (e.g. the new TOS/Discovery hybrid command uniforms).
6) Sell more "older catalog" options (e.g. DS9 greys, TNG dress whites). Even if these are a custom order option, made to order, there is a market for them - at a reasonable price.
In summary: More quality options at a reasonable price with a reasonable delivery window.
CBS, thank you for your consideration. We only want to celebrate our passion of your franchise. We want to give you our money, thereby helping you. If you can improve your cosplay selection you can make more profit. Don't forget you have at least three more series in the works, and we will want to wear those uniforms too.
Thank you.
