The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is Canada's public broadcaster, funded by taxpayers and available to the majority of Canadians via television, radio, and internet.

The National Citizens Inquiry is a proceeding being conducted independent of government, by and for Canadian citizens, to examine how Canada handled the pandemic response. Such a proceeding should be front page news, yet after three days of hearings in Truro, Nova Scotia, there has been no reporting by the CBC on the NCI.

The CBC's mandate states, “...the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, as the national public broadcaster, should provide radio and television services incorporating a wide range of programming that informs, enlightens and entertains…

“...the programming provided by the corporation should: 1) be predominantly and distinctively Canadian, reflect Canada and its regions to national and regional audiences, while serving the special needs of those regions...”

There is no more pertinent and relevant news to Canadians than the citizen led inquiry into Canada’s Covid 19 response.

The National Citizens Inquiry (nationalcitizensinquiry.ca) has eleven more days scheduled throughout March and April 2023 in other major Canadian cities.

Shamefully, the first event held in Truro, Nova Scotia had no reporting from CBC.
