Today, we face many challenges with COVID 19, affecting all Canadians.  In 1972, we faced massive anxiety as the Russians were beating our best hockey players at our own game.  This impacted our resolve, but Canadians rose to the occasion.  Millennials mostly do not know of this historic event or understand its historical importance, but their parents do.  As we are all self isolating, it is a unique opportunity for the baby boomer generation to explain to the millennial generation how Canadians overcame this national challenge, and Canada rose as one.

This petition would be simple for CBC or TSN to do: Replay the games nightly in their entirety, and have remote commentary by the stars of the Canadian and USSR Teams such as Phil Esposito, Paul Henderson, Yvon Cournoyer, Big M and Little M, Alexander Yakushev, Valeri Kharlamov, Boris Mikhailov, Vladislav Tretiak and other people involved in the series.
