In the wake of a malicious & hateful online campaign to smear the character of Ariel Palitz, this petition is to show support.  She is loved and respected in the community, and we want Board Chair Gigi Li to understand we support her reappointment as a public member to Community Board 3's State Liquor Authority Licensing Committee and/or any other committee for which she is applying.

After many years serving Community Board 3 as an appointed member, Ms. Palitz was incredibly qualified to perform her duties as a voting member due to her status as a small business owner, local, and dedicated community crusader.  She is a well-known hospitality professional, and her presence was a comforting, friendly face to the citizenry.

While serving in the past, her demeanor toward the public was patient, yet no-nonsense & blunt (like that of any native NYer), and the local citizenry felt comfortable participating in the community process because of her ingrained status.

Attacks by Internet trolls towards Ms. Palitz constipate online community forums, and the citizenry of CB3 has had ENOUGH.  Haters & profiteers DO NOT SPEAK FOR US.  We would like to show our support to this beloved small business & hospitality professional.  We understand she missed the deadline, Chairwoman Li; but please show leniency and give her another opportunity to serve our community.
