We wanted to make sure you saw Wendy Ward Hoffer's article in the Montecito Journal, published April 19.

She lays out lessons from the OIG report: How not to respond to faculty sexual abuse, and asks the question "what are we teaching children if we allow administrators with unchecked power to flout moral duty with impunity?"

It's a powerful article, and explains why so many of us are still not satisfied with Cate's response to past sexual abuse on campus.

And thank you for continuing to push back and demand accountability from Cate. As Ben Williams rides off into the sunset in the next year, let's remember that there are still people on campus who turned a blind eye to the suffering of students, and have still not taken responsibility.
