I, along with the vast majority of Castle Point residents, I want a sound local plan that provides what is needed locally. The local residents, wish to object to the proposed local plan, due to the lack of infrastructure, the increase of flood risk, increase of congestion, and the proposed development of Green Belt. The decrease in the quality of life for existing residents, due to increase of air pollution.  As there is is a shortage of doctors for the area along with other important services.

The lose of Green Belt will impact of mental health, the community as been able to walk or ride horses, bikes will be lost, the wildlife will suffer  as they lose their homes. The carbon footprint will increase increasing the risk of flooding due to global warming.

The plan is not a sound  as 50% of the proposed housing is on green belt. Reduce the amount of Green Belt lease for building as per other councils.. 

Trying to get home in rush hour the roads are gridlocked to Canvey Island and Benfleet  due to poor road management, and if there are roadworks, accident it adds hours to the journey the roads cannot cope now. 

Canvey Island is Zone 2 & 3 area the green belt areas acts as local flood plains.
