I'm a devoted Potterhead, passionate about the world that J.K. Rowling created. The Harry Potter series was my stepping stone into the magical world of reading and it holds a special place in my heart. I stand here today, proposing a casting decision that I believe will preserve the integrity of this beloved series. I propose casting Adam Driver, a versatile and talented actor, as Snape in the forthcoming Harry Potter series. Both their striking similarity in appearance and Driver's remarkable acting prowess makes him the perfect choice for this iconic role. Driver's performances, specially his portrayal of Kylo Ren in the Star Wars saga, shows his ability to embody complex, conflicted characters, much like Snape (Screen Actors Guild Awards, 2020). The true essence of Snape- a character we all had a love-hate relationship with- can only be respected by casting an actor who can deliver the depth and nuances his character demands. We urge the casting directors to consider Adam Driver for the role, to maintain the semblance and respect the magic of the world we Potterheads cherish.
