Cassowary Coast Shire Council has an an animal shelter with a renovated residence which has been operating for around 20 years. The long term managers are retiring and Council is voting at a meeting on the 28th of April to decide if the shelter shoud be kept open or shut down. This shelter is an essential service to the community and has saved many pets from death row in it's long career. Please support our plea to Council to save it's refuge.
