Thanks to everyone that signed the petition and advocated for a Casselberry Skatepark by attending meetings, workshops and taking the city survey. Because of you, we have crossed that hurdle and our skatepark is in the plan. Our work is not done however; we have to continue to engage our elected officials and demand action. We began that on Monday night, at the time they adopted the plan, asking for a Skatepark Committee to be formed to choose a site for its location based on established objective criteria. Once that is done and the commitment is documented, we will transition into fundraising, to supplement what the city allocates for construction. We want a first class facility and wont stop until the ribbon is cut as the skatepark opens. Stay engaged, we will need your continued support & help moving through the red tape that is sure to come.
