Well folks, we've been pushing hard for over two years to bring a skatepark to the citizens of Casselberry. Your actions during that time have lead to change already. A parks master plan is being completed by the City of Casselberry and its our opportunity to make certain that a skatepark is built in the future. We've seen a skate spot approved by the City Commission and design work funded, only to have it taken away. Only a weeks ago, our attempts to get the City of Casselberry to accept a generous donation of skate art elements for placement along yet another walking and biking trail were shot down. One of the reasons, they're waiting to see if the community really wants to see skateboarding in the community! A lot of you have already completed the Parks Master Plan Survey. To those that have, THANK YOU! The survey will close on February 24th, so make sure you share it with as many neighbors and friends that you can. Its time for all hands on deck. We need to ensure that the consultants working for the city see an overwhelming response in favor of a Casselberry Skatepark! As other cities like Jacksonville Beach, Satellite Beach, Eustis and beyond plan and build their skateparks, Casselberry's citizens continue to see nothing happen despite two years of city wide support for one here be ignored.
