School is out very soon and you'll start to see more kids out on their skateboards and bmx bicycles throughout the neighborhoods as they put distance between themselves and the gaming console. Currently there is no park where our youth can pursue their passion in Casselberry, so keep an eye out and lets all work to keep them safe. Six (6) out of twentyeight (28) skateboarding deaths in 2014 happened in Florida. All of them involved a motor vehicle. As we continue to push for a skatepark in Casselberry, we need to keep the pressure on our elected officials to take their role as our voice in government seriously and move the project forward. All of you have taken a step forward and signed the petition to put them on notice, please ask your friends and family to do the same. The big push for action will come this fall when the City of Casselberry begins to develop a Parks Master Plan. Our voice must be loud and heard often as that process gets started. Delays wont be acceptable and its our unified voices at city Hall that will be demanding results. Its our City, our kids and our neighborhoods, we hold the power, so keep up the great work of advocating for a place where we can get the kids off the street and into a park! SKATE 32707
