Extend lunch times for online learning throughout Broward County

Extend lunch times for online learning throughout Broward County
The Issue
In Broward County, the current amount of time you have to eat is Thirty Minutes. If we continued in-school learning, this would be fine, and the reason it would be okay was because the food was already prepared, and people had enough time to eat their food. However, when you are at home, you are forced to eat in the time span of 30 minutes, which isn't enough time to prepare your food and eat it for many students. This can result to students not finishing their lunch in time and showing up to next period with their food, or show up late because they were not able to finish their lunch in time. This can lead to issues because teachers may mark students who are late to class as tardy, and this is not a good habit to create for students. I am recommending to increase the time to have lunch to either 45 or 60 minutes, to give students enough time to finish their lunch and join their online Microsoft Teams class on time. Virtual Learning is still new to many schools across the board, and some schools are still looking for suggestions to improve the students' experience learning online. This change will have an effect on both teachers and students, and it will give students more time to prepare for their next class and show up prepared and ready to learn!
