I learned a lot from all the different agencies I've talked to over the last few days about exactly who has the ability to investigate and remove the remaining animals. In light of that information, I have changed who this petition is directed to from Cass County Animal Control or Sheriff, to The Humane Society of Missouri, and if all else fails, to the presiding judge, Judge J. Michael Rumley. I would like to thank the Cass County Sheriff Dwight Diehl for acknowledging this petition and making a statement to the Democrat Missourian. I am very dedicated, especially after the comments on this petition from those familiar to Mr. Hammond, to getting the remaining animals removed. I would also like to thank every single person that has signed and commented. It restores my faith in humanity to see my community and people from all over the world speaking out against animal cruelty and torture, and lending their support to this effort.
