Hello again everyone! I know there hasn't been an update in awhile but trust me my feet have not stopped moving on this issue! Recently I've been in touch with Christopher Olson one of our North Dakota State Representatives from West Fargo. I think finally we are in touch with the right group of people to have our concerns heard and to make a difference! As I'm sure a lot of you know we have some big elections coming up on June 14th and if we act quickly and decisively we can certainly have an impact with what happens in our state. The refugee resettlement topic involving Lutheran Social Services is an issue that - together - we can make part of the political conversation in June. Rep. Olson and I are having a little community forum to discuss this issue next Tuesday and are inviting everyone interested to join us and voice their concerns also! With just a minor amount of planning and focus we are in a place where we can really make a change here in our community! Please, come join us over at Chris Olson’s business: Treasure Island Coins at 1429 42nd St S. in Fargo next Tuesday, May 10th at 6PM. I know that some of you are not interested in getting physically involved and I know that signing a petition in itself is a huge act. In fact, your signing of this petition has gotten us to where we are today! Like myself, I’m sure like a lot of you have a job and have a family and that's probably why we feel so strongly about this subject so I know that time is hard to come by but this is something that can really make a difference and is one of the best opportunities that we have had to speak with the actual people that can do something about this and that can make a stand with us legally in our state government! This is a rare opportunity and I am very blessed to have been contact by Christopher Olson! He is a great American and a true patriot and I think that he shares the exact same sentiments that we do! If there's any chance that any of you can make it I know for a fact that you will feel as inspired as I do and as renewed as I do on getting something done and making sure our state is doing it’s job to protect our interests and way of life.
