I just spend around 15 minutes on the phone with one of the senators staffers. He listened and responded very well to the message. We talked about the Syrian refugee influx and about the LSS problem with the refugees here. On the subject of the Syrians he told me that thy haven't been given the details on the proposed extra 10,000 that Obama wants to bring in, but that top on his list was is this and extra 10,000 on top of the total 70,000 total refugees from around the world or is it an extra 10,000 within that 70,000 that will just be given to Syrians instead of other nations refugees. I voiced the concerns that ISIS has said they are sending jihad people in with the refugees and they always hold true to their threats. We want to know how they will be vetting these people! I pointed out that if we are not responsible about this that the USA will end up like France and Germany are right now! And that the Fargo area will end up like Minneapolis and St. Cloud! Constant arrests for terrorists and refugees demanding the community be catering to them and their wishes. As for the LSS issue we talked about the money given to LSS and then they are just dumping them on public assistance even tho they are sitting on a surplus last year of over 16 million dollars. They aren't paying the amount need to teach them English or education that would greatly help them assimilate into our communities! They are paying huge salaries and have money in the bank yet the state of North Dakota (us) are paying, for example, $390 per child to teach them English in our public schools! We are paying for Medicare, We are paying for housing assistance, energy assistance, adult education, daycare assistance and a new one.... REFUGEE ASSISTANCE! His response was that i was in touch with the right people and the Senator Heitkamp is a ranking member on the exact committee to look into this. He promised to brief her on our concerns and get some information on the issues we have. We are going to stay in touch and as opportunities arise i can feel free to email or call him anytime for updates. He promised to get some answers on LSS and the situation here with them and the refugees. I am expecting and "official reply" from Rep. Cramer's office in the next couple weeks they told me. And i haven't given up on our state Congressmen even though they will not even reply to my emails. Ill be hitting the phones this afternoon!!!!!
