Well I knew it was only a matter of time before liberals and people that support lutheran Social Services would begin to threaten me. That must mean we are doing something right! Here is a copy of a message implying that some type of harm is going to come to me or my family. Absolutely disgusting! Damon- You created the petition. That is fine, but do you realize how this is harming our community? You realize that we have refugee kids who might be hanging out with your kids later. What would happen if they know that their friend's dad tried to oust them from the country. its like Natives and Immigrants all over again. I do not want to go into the impact that might have but i would not do this if i was you. It maybe fun for you or will provide you a platform to provide proof that refugees are not welcome here, but it is more than that. I understand you are trying to give everyone a fair chance to vote, but it does not include everyone. It does not include refugees who are already here as they may not have access to internet or facebook. It is unfair and a very biased opportunity. Refugee resettlement is a controversial issue, but just take a step back and think. What would happen if somehow you and your family is threatened by someone because you offended thousands of people here through this petition. Your name is all across news and media. I do not want anything t happen to you or anyone in this community, but we need to be careful with these kinds of stuffs. This is very person stuff. Anyways, do you have personal connection with a refugee? If not, i can have to meet one of my friends who from Iraq and has severe PTSD because of war. His wife works but he cannot. He cannot even sleep at night because of nightmares. He had his brother as well as father murdered in front of him. We are all humans and we need to be humans. I do not want you to take the petition off because its people have right to exercise that right to vote and to express opinion, but if you do not have personal connection with refugees or have some detailed knowledge about the program, it is not fair to go against the government and say refugee resettlement is causing more damage than harm
