COVID has taken enough from us, we can't let it take our only little piece of Old Town in Carmel Valley/Del Mar! This restaurant has become a staple of the Del Mar Highlands. Casa Sol Y Mar is a wonderful collage of beautiful art and authentic Mariachi music as well as delicious traditional Mexican cuisine. They are a favorite of all CV/Del Mar locals, especially those of use who appreciate a truly family friendly (Fido too!!) restaurant and a damn good margarita! It's a must keep restaurant, not just for us locals, but for those that find it passing through too.

Many of you old timers may remember when Old Town's restaurants were all located in the beautiful Old Town square. Casa de Guadalajara is the Parent restaurant of Casa Sol Y Mar, and when Old Town was "remodeled" Del Mar was lucky enough to inherit a piece of it in Casa Sol Y Mar. We can't let it go now!!! 

My hope is to at least show the owners how much their restaurant means to us, and how much we want them to fight to stay in the  Del Mar Highlands! If we get enough momentum here maybe we can start a Go-fund-me or something to help them out!? Or even push the City of Del Mar to recognize them as a historical landmark or something and give them incentive to stay!!
