As the Wikipedia description states, "Total Drama is a Canadian animated comedy television series which is a homage and parody to the conventions commonly found in reality television." In the show, stereotypical animated teenagers all compete to win either 100,000 dollars as it was at the start, until the prize later changed to 1,000,000.

I am writing this petition to have Duncan and Courtney, both teenagers competing on the show, to get back together as a couple. Duncan is a stereotypical bad-boy, a punk, and has a criminal record. Courtney is an overachiever, a leader, and fights strongly for what she wants. Duncan's tough exterior and Courtney's determination makes the both of them great competitors on the show. The two were a couple in the first season, until in the third season, Duncan unfortunately cheated on her with Gwen, another competing teenager. I, a hard-core "Duncney" fan, personally thought Courtney and Duncan had so much potential. Since the very beginning, it was evident that the two were polar opposites, but when they were together, they brought out parts of themselves they never knew were there; Duncan, under that big scary figure a total sweetheart, and Courtney, a goody-two-shoes, who when had a taste of breaking the rules, just wanted more. In addition, I also thought the fact that they both argue constantly made their story even more interesting and entertaining.

I thought it was a mistake for Gwen and Duncan to be together, a goth and a punk being so original. I believe society is trying to get rid of stereotypes in this century, not add on to it, which is why Courtney and Duncan being together is a great solution to this. I also believe the message the "Gwuncan" kiss sent to the audience was that cheating was an okay thing to do, and it's absolutely not, especially if this show is directed towards a younger audience. Children should not be exposed to such a thing like cheating, for it might influence them in a bad way later on in the future.

This concludes my petition, and I think I'm speaking for the entire "Duncney" fandom that our hearts are still not healed from the tragic break up we experienced watching Total Drama between the criminal and the prep. Please bring Duncney back! Now that an eighth season is finally in production, I have high hopes for the pair!

Nevertheless, the show is absolutely amazing overall, but I believe Courtney and Duncan becoming a couple once again would add on to the greatness Total Drama has yet to give us. Sign this petition if you agree!
