Carroll County, you did great yesterday! If you went out and voted, be proud, you made a difference! Taking home 4 of the 5 Commissioner spots yesterday was huge for education! We still have the general election in November, but Outdoor School should be safe for the next 4 years!!! Congrats to the winners: District 1 - Steve Wantz a retired firefighter, District 2 - Richard Weaver a retired teacher, District 5 - Doug Howard - proven friend of education and District 3, even though Ken Mercer didn't win, Dennis Franzier a current teacher, will still be a great advocate for CCPS. Yes, Richard Rothschild was re-elected to District 4, but by most accounts, he will now be out-numbered 4 - 1, essentially neutralizing all of his power. Still lots of bark, but very little bite! Good bye for now, but remember, we still have to deal with the BOE race in November... Thanks again to everyone who has stuck with us throughout this ordeal.
