Superintendent Guthrie released his probable cuts this week assuming that the County Commissioners will not fully fund his requested budget. Included on this list of cuts is Outdoor School. His proposal is to save $237,000 by cutting Outdoor School from a 5 day program to a 3 day program. That is an overall savings to the school's budget of 0.08%. This is a program the benefits every students in Carroll County. Some have said that Outdoor School is a luxury, not a requirement. Tell that to all of the people here on this website; all the people who's lives have been changed by their experience at Hashawha! If you are upset about this, take action!
