Hoboken dogs are prohibited from walking on the grass in city parks, unless walking directly to or from a dog park. However, this is impractical and cruel in practice. Many Hoboken residents live here because of its walkability and dog-friendly atmosphere. Previously, we'd be able to enjoy the outdoors with our families, pets included. Now we're forced to only walk our dogs on concrete, and are being asked to leave them behind on family picnics, games of fetch, or any other activity that involves grass.

Well behaved canine residents should be allowed to enjoy Hoboken's public parks, as long as their waste is properly cared for and removed.
