I and many Hurricanes fans are troubled after hearing the Carolina Hurricanes are close to signing Tony DeAngelo. He has shown REPEATEDLY that he is incapable of learning or changing, exhibited racist, sexist and homophobic behavior repeatedly throughout his career. He is an unapologetic, toxic individual that will only serve to hurt the team image among fans searching for inclusivity. It's unconscionable to think that the Hurricanes would sign such a person at a time when hate and discrimination is at the forefront of societal conversation. His ardent, vigilant support of Donald Trump, a man that caused a treasonous insurrection and unprecedented hate crimes against Asians, is inexcusable. Here are some examples of his behavior:
