This petition is in support of Head Girls Basketball coach, Karen Hicks. It shows your support in her development and progress with the CD Lady Rams. It is believed to be said that Coach Hicks did not develop her players, when in reality this fact could not be further from the truth.  Coach Hicks has not only developed her players on the court but has pushed and motivated them off of it.  11 of 11 of her senior players have gone on to pursue a college education, 7 of them playing basketball. Her student athletes have been pushed to become better athletes, students and people.  Her influence has not only helped raise their game, but their GPA and morale as well. My daughter and the future players of CD are excited to work their way up to learn under her lead and to take that opportunity away from them is unmerited. These girls are better individuals under the guidance of Coach Hicks and the school district would be doing the athletes a huge injustice in the removal of her from the Central Dauphin Athletic staff.
