On April 13, Chipotle opened a new location near the Carnegie Mellon campus, next to Craig Street. Given the tremendous amount of student interest and excitement, the Undergraduate Student Senate’s Committee on Business Affairs will investigate allowing students to use DineX at Chipotle. We are looking for your support to help us make our case!

Currently, DineX can be used at other off campus dining locations such as Eat’n Park, Eat Unique, Quiznos, Subway, and Vocelli Pizza. We believe it is in the student interest to expand the use of DineX to more locations and improve the quality and variety of our dining experience.

Notably, the University of Pittsburgh allows their Dining Dollars to be used at a variety of retail locations such as Chick-fil-A, Einstein Bros Bagels, and Taco Bell. Additionally, their Panther Funds can be used at many restaurants including Chipotle. Duquesne’s Dining Dollars can also be used at retail locations such as Starbucks.

We recognize that this addition would require negotiations with the university and Chipotle and are committed to advocating for the student body in these discussions. With your backing, we will make the case to the administration that this is an issue students care about.
