How dangerous are safety recall defects? According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "Every recall is serious." Typical safety recall defects that have led auto manufacturers to recall tens of millions of hazardous vehicles include:
- catching on fire
- loss of steering
- brake failure
- Takata airbags that explode with excessive force, propelling metal fragments into drivers' and passengers' faces and necks, and torsos, causing blindness and bleeding to death
Those recall defects obviously pose a serious threat to your safety.
But CarMax deliberately downplays the risks. In a shocking video, the Board Chairman of CarMax responds to a question about how CarMax handles safety recalls by claiming that "Many of them are not really safety issues, they're just open recalls." Can you believe him? NO!!!
CarMax is so greedy, they fail to get the free repairs done to fix even the most deadly safety recall defects that have injured or killed thousands of drivers and passengers. Some vehicles they offer for sale have multiple safety recall defects -- potential deathtraps on wheels.
Don't fall victim to CarMax and their reckless practices. Please help spread the word: Don't buy a car from CarMax.
