Petition updateStop selling unsafe, recalled cars to consumers.Actor Morgan Freeman warns about dangerous Takata airbags. But CarMax refuses to fix them.
Consumers for Auto Reliability and Safety
Sep 3, 2019

If you watched TV lately, chances are good you saw Academy-award-winning actor Morgan Freeman warning people about the hazards of vehicles with recalled Takata airbags.  They're basically ticking time bombs that explode with excessive force, propelling metal fragments into drivers' and passengers' faces, necks, and torsos. They've already killed at least 24 people and injured nearly 300 more.

This auto safety recall is the largest in U.S. history. Experts estimate that over 41 million vehicles with recalled Takata airbags are on the roads in the U.S.

Despite the warnings, CarMax refuses to do its part to get the recalled airbags replaced. CarMax is too cheap to hire workers to deliver the hazardous cars to local dealerships for FREE repairs.

Even worse: CarMax claims that the recalled airbags pass their inspection. Very deceptive.

Please warn your family and friends. Beware of CarMax. They don't care enough about your safety to get free fixes done.

THANK YOU to the more than 114,500 awesome people who are calling on CarMax to stop selling unsafe recalled cars to consumers!!
