There is a proposal to build a new industrial park next to Llanelli Crematorium.

For the plans to go ahead, Carmarthenshire Council would sell former agricultural land for development.

Plaid Cymru Councillors have voted twice to support the potential sale of land next to Llanelli Crematorium and site investigation work for the building of an industrial estate.

We believe that it is highly inappropriate for the area to be developed for an industrial park - as it will have a significant impact on the peaceful nature of the crematorium.

Despite Welsh Labour’s call-in attempt to prevent the future sale of the land for a industrial park, Plaid Cymru voted to proceed.

We need to send a strong signal that this is not acceptable.
