People power is winning. CUB recently said they were "not convinced" about whether to provide their land for a cable car on kunanyi. It is time to convince them that protecting the mountain is a better choice. The mountain is not a theme park. The developer has said that opposition is only from ""a small unqualified handulful" and now they are planning for drilling works to start as early as next month, including above the beautiful organ pipes. As Richard Flanagan said last week, "The cable car cuts across the whole meaning of the mountain to countless generations of Tasmanian's including the Palawa people". So, come rain, hail or shine, it is Mountain MayDay, Sunday 6th May @11am, Cascade Gardens, South Hobart.
