Stop Objectifying Women in Carl's Jr. Advertisements
The Issue
Women are continuously shown as objects for hetero-male pleasure in everyday life; in advertisements, in the way people speak, the jokes people make, etc. The media directly plays a part in how we are in social settings. It is also a reflection of our culture and beliefs as a society.
The objectification of women in all aspects of life should be eliminated, and Carl's Jr. is a large perpetrator in the food industry. They [Carl's Jr.] blatantly use the over-sexualization of women to sell to what seems to be their target audience-heterosexual males.
We as a society need to stop teaching people (men in particular) to see women as objects of pleasure and, instead, see them as empowered people with experiences and ambitions like any other human.
Together, we can work towards a sexism-free society-ending it in advertisements is only the beginning.
