Petition Closed

When Krug and Silkstone staged a marketing photo shoot and left trash behind at Burningman 2011, they violated the community's rules on non-commercialism and Leave No Trace at the event.

It's important for us, who care about keeping the playa a place free and open for creativity and sharing, to take a stand. The way to do this is to personally BOYCOTT all Krug and Silkstone products and services, until they issue public apologies and commit to not using Burningman in Advertising/PR again.

It will also help to send a message to future violators, that we will boycott any future products and companies that use the Burningman community's creative efforts for their own personal commercial gain.

Please sign and share it with other burners and friends. The companies involved will get every signature. And it will have the impact we want it to have.

Thank you for joining your name with your fellow burners, and doing what you can -personally- to keep the playa free from commercial interests.

-LVMH- Bernard Arnault, CEO, LVMH
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Krug Champage and Corporate Parent LVMH.

----------------
Stop Using Burningman to Promote your Products.

When Krug and Silkstone staged a marketing photo shoot and left trash behind at Burningman 2011, they violated the community's explicit rules governing non-commercialism and Leave No Trace principles at the event.

This must not happen again. I HEREBY UNDERTAKE A PERSONAL BOYCOTT of all Krug and Silkstone products and services, until LVMH and Silkstone issue public apologies and commit to not using Burningman in Advertising/PR again.

I also promise to boycott any future products and companies that use the Burningman community's creative efforts for their own personal commercial gain.

Sincerely,
