Currently, the needs of family caregivers and direct care workers are overlooked and unappreciated. Did you know that there are over 57 million unpaid family caregivers in the US? That's a staggering number! But don't worry, we're here to change that.

Help US Unite the Family Caregiver and Professional Direct Care Workers

Our mission is to unite family caregivers and direct care workers. We want to give them a voice in Washington DC. We want to bring attention to the valuable contributions they make to their care recipients and society as a whole. By creating a grassroots effort, we can advocate for the recognition and respect that family caregivers and direct care worker deserves.

We're also committed to reducing caregiver stress and improving their quality of life. We want to advocate for more resources for affordable or free respite care. This is so caregivers can take a break and recharge. We understand that financial distress is a major concern for many caregivers, so we'll also advocate for family caregivers get paid to provide care. Family caregivers need an alternative source of income to alleviate that burden.

But it's not just about the individual caregiver. We want to advocate for better services and policies on a local, state, and national level. We'll raise community awareness about the challenges family caregivers and direct care workers face through education and training. Additionally, we'll work towards facilitating respite services between family caregivers and professional caregivers, the direct care worker. 

Caregivers are invisible and underestimated. 

The impact of caregiving is often invisible and underestimated. Many caregivers sacrifice their own support systems, careers, and even their own health to provide care. We want to change that! We believe that family caregivers and direct care workers should be recognized as a valuable labor force and receive the same rights and benefits as paid employees.
