There is a proposal to erect three floodlights and construct a rugby training pitch for Rhiwbina Rugby Football Club, on land currently designated as a pollination area in Caedelyn Park. This will deprive the wider public of a valued amenity, create light and noise pollution in a designated quiet area and exacerbate illegal parking on verges and pavements in surrounding roads. There is also an active bat colony on the land that may be put at risk.
