Catalytic converter theft is on the rise and costing innocent hard working people a fortune! They are helpless to stop thieves even if they catch them in the act as the thieves work in gangs and threaten the owners with violence if they try to stop them. It’s not petty theft it’s robbery with the threat of violence!! Police are unable to cope or do anything as it take a very short time for these thefts to happen. Manufacturers know these thefts are occurring and make no effort to prevent this from happening in the manufacturing of the vehicles. Some sort of protection & safety locks should be built in as standard making the theft & life of the thieves more difficult! Please sign this petition and hold these manufacturers to account.
