I believe that capybaras Aren’t something that should be against the law in New Mexico as it is legal in Texas and Arizona which is right outside of New Mexico. Capybaras make great pets as long as you take care of them properly, I think you should be able to obtain a permit to own a capybara in New Mexico! As long as you pass a safety standards test and have all the available needs for a capybara to have a good life! Capybaras are also herbivores, Meaning owning one isn’t putting a cat or a dog in the neighborhood in danger. In this I believe capybara‘s are not dangerous towards our society, not endangered and should be legal in New Mexico!
