With the cost of living being so high and continuously rising, you should not have to pay hundreds of dollars to park where you live. Most of us are struggling to make it as is. Apartments are charging $50-$250+ to park in a place you already pay rent. The cost alone is enough to make or break living expenses. Luckily, Portland is walkable and has better public transit than most cities. Regardless of that, you should not feel like you are making a second car payment just to park. I’m calling on our local government to cap parking cost at reasonable rates.
