The Issue
After the Helicopter accident when the pilot Hendrik Marais was killed fighting a fire, I proposed that the M65 road between Misty Cliffs and Cape Point be named in his honor for unbelievable heroic fire fighting abilities as well as devotion to duty. Below is the reply from the Mayors Office and we need to show support for this proposal.
If you are in agreement with the proposal simply tick the "Like" box or comment, and depending on how many "Likes/Comments" are received, I shall take the matter forward.
Thank you

Dear Mr Renney
Thank you for your mail and proposal. In order to take this further I would suggest that you make a formal proposal – either to the ward councillor and sub-council (sub-council chair is copied in this mail) – together with evidence of support for the proposal. If the sub-council supports this proposal they can recommend to the Naming Committee that a formal public participation process be conducted.
Regards
