The 30 day extension is over and we heard back from the US Attorney General's office last week. Not surprisingly it was a denial of all charges except they did concede that the ban is about protecting shorebirds. This is to say that they deny the kiteboarding ban is arbitrary and that they deem it is justified. So now the back-n-forth begins, and hopefully the beginning of a dialogue.
