As I write this, the petition has been online for about two days. I admit I've been reloading the page every few minutes and seeing that tiny bar rise up. As of May 6 at 10:30 p.m. CDT, this petition has collected 144 supporters.

I'd like to thank each of you for betting on my efforts. I am beyond thrilled to have heard support from so many people--parents, students, alumni, friends. 

You've done the most important part: you've signed the petition.
