The Canterbury Local Plan ‘Preferred Option’ has a road going from Harbledown to Whitstable Road running straight through our beautiful green space.

Dukes Meadow and the surrounding green space has been a lifeline to many through lockdown and beyond. Open spaces are not to be underestimated in their benefits to our mental health. The wildlife is essential to our ecosystem and we must not pave their environment for a projected 6-9% reduction in journey times. A projection made prior to a new culture of working from home. 
We need to write to Councillors to make our thoughts known. I have done so but I’m creating this as petition as a way to further spread awareness of the issue. I hope you will help.
