Name Science & Medicine building “O’Rourke building” for Aimee’s bravery during COVID-19.
The Issue
Unfortunately, Aimee O’Rourke, a 2017 nursing graduate, Canterbury Christ Church University alumni and a nurse at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, who worked tirelessly alongside all of the other NHS staff, was amongst one of the people who caught the coronavirus and tragically died on Friday 3rd April 2020.
Aimee has now touched the hearts of the nation. She was a mother to three children, a wife, a colleague, a friend to many Christ Church students, past and present and all-round, an amazing student. Most importantly, she was an inspiration and hero amongst other NHS staff. We adore our National Health Service and I hope you agree that with her dedication to supporting the unwell, you would consider this proposal and memorial that Aimee O’Rourke clearly deserves when the new Canterbury Christ Church and Kent University building opens in September 2020.
There is a GoFundMe page for her family, which you can find here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/aimee039s-memory-fund
