UPDATE: We're getting real traction — and we need you at the table.

Thanks to everyone who has signed and shared this petition, Canobie Lake's water crisis is now on the radar of Windham's entire state legislative delegation. Senator Regina Birdsell and Representatives Katelyn Kuttab, Bob Lynn, Charles McMahon, Daniel Popovici-Muller, and Julius Soti have all engaged directly with NHDES on this issue — and NHDES has now confirmed in writing that it has the legal authority to require an updated safe yield study for Canobie Lake, but currently isn't using it.
That's the fight we're in now: getting NHDES to actually use the authority it already has.
Our legislators are holding a community meeting to bring residents, the Windham Town Manager, and the full delegation together to plan next steps:
📅 Monday, August 17 at 6:00 PM
📍 Windham Senior Center (across from Town Hall)
If you live in Windham, please come. If you don't, please keep sharing this petition — every signature makes it that much harder for this to be dismissed as one neighborhood's concern.
The lake is currently just over a foot above its all-time recorded low, and this summer is on track to be the worst water deficit we've documented. Thank you for standing with us — let's keep the pressure on.
