Petition updateNon-partisan Voter Pledge on EPCALVote to save Riverhead
EPCAL Watch
Nov 3, 2019

If you live in Riverhead, please vote on Tuesday and urge neighbors and friends to do the same. This may be the last chance to protect the town from Triple Five (the Ghermezian family) and Luminati (Daniel Preston) becoming our largest and most powerful land owner.

Many things will affect whom you vote for, but statements during the News Review and Riverhead Local debates offered a stark contrast between the Republican and Democratic candidates for Supervisor and Board. Not least is how much they would fight to take back the 1,000 acres that were given away and resist pressure for tax abatement, public bonding and potential construction of a jet port, gambling casino or entertainment mall.

Consider also that Assessor candidate Mason Haas was the virtual godfather of the terrible EPCAL deal as chair of the Republican Party during the previous and current Board.
