As a deeply concerned voter in Santa Ana, I am witnessing an unjust recall against councilmember Jessie Lopez that has already cost our city thousands of dollars. This recall, driven by special interests such as the Police Officer Association and Apartment Association, is not just a power grab but also a misuse of our democracy. It's costing us over $600,000 - funds that could be better used elsewhere for community development.

The OC Registrar of voters recently revealed on 10/26/23 that this recall election did not meet the necessary qualifications due to an error made by the petitioners who used incorrect boundary lines for ward 3. Consequently, they fell short by 230 signatures and hence do not have enough valid ones to move forward with their plans.

This revelation should be enough grounds to cancel this wasteful recall which is based on errors and fueled by vested interests rather than genuine concern for our city's welfare. Let's stand together as responsible citizens of Santa Ana and demand our City Council and Mayor to cancel this costly mistake immediately!

If it were to move forward we are are looking at lawsuits from disenfranchised citizens who were not able to participate in this election by voting NO.
