As a parent deeply rooted in my religious beliefs and values, I am acutely aware of how these principles influence the upbringing of my family. These beliefs shape not only my personal life but also the choices I make for my child's community and the environment they are exposed to. I respect that others might hold different views. However, I firmly believe that families who share similar beliefs to mine should have their concerns listened to and respected.

Recently, an 18+ drag queen event was scheduled, sparking a wave of concerns from parents and community members. This event raises questions about aligning such activities with the religious, cultural, and personal values that many families in our community hold dear. While it is important to respect and acknowledge the rights of all individuals, it is equally crucial that our school's decisions reflect the diverse beliefs and values of the families it serves.

Statistics show that understanding and considering the diverse perspectives within a community fosters a more inclusive and harmonious environment. Schools and community organizations should be aware of this dynamic and act in ways that respect varied value systems.

We are respectfully calling for the cancellation of this event.
