Cancel school in Forsyth County on November 11th

Cancel school in Forsyth County on November 11th
The Issue
UPDATE
At around 3:30PM EST, intermittent snow flurries were spotted in Forsyth County, GA. They continued until around 4:10 PM. This proves to help our cause. Keep sharing and help our petition against the Forsyth school system grow.
According to The Weather Channel, snow can be expected at 5:00 PM EST today!

On behalf of all the students in Forsyth County, we're writing to urge the school district to consider canceling school on November 11th due to the severe weather conditions predicted. The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning, forecasting sub-freezing temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit from 7 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Tuesday.
Such extreme cold poses significant health and safety risks, especially considering that students and staff need to travel to and from school during these hours. Walking to bus stops or waiting outside in temperatures this low can lead to frostbite or hypothermia in just a few minutes. Moreover, many of the school buildings are aging and the heating systems might not be equipped to handle such intense cold, leading to uncomfortable and potentially unsafe learning environments.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff should be the top priority. By canceling school on this day, the district would prevent unnecessary exposure to dangerous weather conditions and allow everyone to stay safe at home.
Join us in urging the Forsyth County Schools administration to take proactive steps and cancel school on November 11th for the safety of all students and staff. Please sign this petition to show your support and help protect our community from the cold!
